Great Houses of Ipswich- Woodlands of Marburg is proud to announce their inclusion in the upcoming Great Houses of Ipswich spectacular! This will be a wonderful opportunity to see some of Ipswich’s historical homes up close and personal. This day will be a ticketed event with a fee of $5.00 per person to be paid at the gate on entry to each house. In 1885, Tommy Smith who built the famous Woodlands Mansion, erected the Marburg School of Arts in the township of Marburg Queensland. We are delighted to announce that our guest of honour will be the Honourable Jim Madden MP who will officiate the re-opening. Ceremony and ribbon cutting will begin at 10am. Local artists will be showcasing their talents on the grounds and offer an interactive experience for visitors to this special Great Houses of Ipswich Event. This is definitely one to put on your calendar, like right now, this minute! Our licensed Tommy Smith Cafe will be open serving breakfast and lunch on the day, as well as all day Tommy Smith signature coffee.Yum! See y’all ’round the mountain.
